In one place harsh and barren, in another wooded and gentle. Its villages smothered in greenery. Olive trees orange groves, vineyards, and early vegetable market gardens. Old stone farmhouses, monasteries and villages perched on mountain ridges, castles and chapels forgotten on steep slopes.
