Sounio Road Rally

Sounion Road Rally

Quality time management and creativity are the mark of our Road Rally program. Teams in this adventure navigate their way through roadways, by 4×4 jeeps, on road or off the beaten path. Each team will receive a set of instructions (Road Book) containing directions to checkpoints they must locate along the trail that leads to their final destination.
The journey to Cape Sounio and beyond will take them through some of the typical, local villages of the Attica region. In particular, they will enjoy the beautiful beaches and reflection of the blue sky in the sea, whilst admiring the ancient olive trees that grace the surrounding hillsides. The journey in the National Park of Sounio will take the contenders through dirt tracks which they have to navigate using their off-road driving skills, where the team members will be acting as the extra pairs of eyes the drivers need in these situations.
The Sounion Road Rally can be accompanied by additional events or tasks for the teams to complete. These can include team-building events, which can be located at a secluded spot inside the National Park or even at the site of the Temple, or Greek tastings during the fabulous Road Trip.

*Optional: We can have two stops for activities.

One will be at Anavyssos Beach, where all teams will have to make their own komboloi.

Worry Beads (Komboloi)
This task consists of creating the most beautiful and traditional Komboloi with the large choice of Beads, which you will find at the stand in Anavyssos Beach (you will find everything there, with a huge range of choice).

The second stop will be in the National Park, where the following tastings will be set for the teams.

Cheese
There are hundreds of types of cheese produced all over Greece. According to Greek mythology, Aristaios, son of Apollo and Cyrene, was sent by the gods to give the gift of cheese-making to the Greeks. It was called a “gift of everlasting value,” and if the reputation of today’s variety of Greek cheeses is anything to go by, the value of that gift keeps increasing with age. On our stand, different kinds of Greek cheeses will be available in pieces and slices. Rusk and fresh bread will also be available to accompany the cheeses and charcuteries. Our facilitators will provide information about the different kinds.

Olives & Olive Oil
Olive and olive oil is a basic source of fats in Mediterranean Nutrition. The fats of vegetable origin are considered friendly for the organism (body) and health, while they do not contain any cholesterol, in contrast to the animal fats which contain a large number of saturated fat acids and cholesterol and are dangerous for our health. Our stand will consist of different kinds of olive fruits, many kinds of olive oil and of course fresh homemade bread and fresh rusks in order to taste the unique olive products.

Honey
Honey has a long history as a comestible and is used in various foods and beverages as a sweetener and flavouring. It also has a role in religion and symbolism. Flavours of honey vary based on the nectar source, and various types and grades of honey are available.
Our stand will comprise different kinds of Greek honey (pine, fin, thyme, etc.) which the guests will have the chance to taste.
